This breakaway kit with a push-to-test button brings your trailer to a safe stop if it separates from your vehicle. The kit also comes equipped with a push-to-test button that allows you to easily check the charge on the battery, ensuring you're always ready for the road ahead. The battery is a 12-volt, sealed lead-acid battery that is rechargeable, and with its built-in charger, it will automatically charge while connected to your tow vehicle. The Breakaway Kit features LED lights that indicate the battery's current status, with green indicating a fully charged battery, yellow indicating charging, and red indicating that a recharge is needed. The durable, plastic case and rubber O-ring seal keep the battery protected from the elements, while the side-loading case design allows for easy access from the side. This complete kit comes with everything you need to get started, including a breakaway switch, 1-amp charger, 5-amp-hour battery, battery box, wiring, and wire loom. The switch and battery box easily install on your trailer frame, although hardware is not included. For your convenience, a wiring diagram is printed on the box.
